So the Florida government just gave out performance cash to the state's universities and guess who came in second behind only UF at $47.7M? That's right, it was UCF with $39M, up from $23M awarded last year! FSU came in third with $35.6M.
The award is based on "a complex formula that calculates how the universities performed on a series of factors, including graduation and retention rates."
UCF plans on using the cash to hire 45 new falculty members next year.
I guess bigger can be better!
