Our fans taking the fun out the run

If they don't, then don't complain about UCF's SOS when it comes time for playoffs.

My earlier point it that UCF had a chance to play UF but declined. According to posters here, because UCF objected to where the game would be played. Seems like it would be a great rivalry - no matter where the game was played - and one that really only benefits UCF. Like it or not, fans and pundits will continue to question UCF's SOS. It isn't up to Power 5 schools to chase UCF down on this. UCF's AD should find a way to beef up the schedule - game location be damned.

I'm not suggesting it's a foolproof system but no system is. People didn't like the BCS and said we need a playoff. We got one and now people say it needs to include more teams. Fine, but when you go to 8 people will complain you didn't get the best 8 in or 9 should have been included so we need 10 now.
Every conference should get at least one bid. When the Sunbelt and MAC get to play in a playoff their teams will start getting better recruits, more donations, and more fans. It would make things more fair and a lot more fun to watch.

There are 11 conferences in the Football Bowl Subdivision, 14 more counting the Football Championship Subdivision (they're also D1). You really think it's feasible to have a 25 team playoff? You think letting in the Colonial Athletic Champion University of Delaware so an SEC or B1G champ can beat them by 50 is going to help much with recruiting?

The problem is ALL the fans fault. Got it!

Facts we all have to deal with:
1) When you're a pacesetter the competition gets better. See Alabama losing to LSU.
2) To think KZ is easily replaced is like that picture of "this is your brain on drugs" eggs commercial.
3) To think we can go undefeated every season with graduations is unrealistic.
4) Even with a team worse than last season, we had a good chance at winning more games. This one hurts the most.

All have to keep their comments pointing forward as the team continues to grow and rolls with the punches. Unfortunately, it could get worse but again there's a good culture to maintain here and push off of to get back to the top.

A 16 team playoff with each of the 10 FBS champions getting a bid and 6 at large bids. FCS already has a playoff.

Your premise is faulty. There really was very little benefit to schedule UF under those terms. As has been shown even if someone plays a P5 team and wins, unless that team happens to be a top 10 team at the time there is not value given to it (see victory over Stanford) . Then when they lose to UCF they are deemed to be "down that year". As an example if UCF had played UF in our NC year 2017, UF was 4-7 and that victory would not be given weight. Even if we had scheduled them in 2012 when they were #10 (most games are schedule at least 4-5 years out. Even if they were a top 10 team in 2017, despite beating two ranked teams to finish out the year UCF got no higher than 12 in the CFP and was behind 4 2 loss teams and a 3 loss team that they ultimately beat.

Here is the only way that a P5 is getting in currently:

1. They start the season highly ranked which means they went undefeated the year before (This has been proven)

2. 4-5 years before they were able to get 3 OOC games against 3 "blueblood" programs all in one year

3. They Go undefeated

4. Several other AAC teams are having a good year (like this year)

4. Those Bluebloods are all having good years

5. There are not 4 undefeated P5 teams

6. There are no SEC teams with only one loss.

UCF also has to build a fanbase of season ticket holders and make money for home games. So look at the odds of all those things ever happening and then tell me it makes good business sense to do 2 away and one neutral against UF

The system is designed to favor 5 conferences because the "eye" test will always favor them.

UCF is willing to play anyone under reasonably fair terms. It is documented that the networks really wanted a neutral site game with UCF and any blueblood program and none of them were willing.

8 team playoff

Conference champs P5
Highest ranked G5,
2 at large

This takes care of everything. The only complaint I ever saw was "what if Pitt beat Clemson in the conference Championship, then you would have a 4 loss team in the CFP when a 1 or 2 loss SEC team might get left out". To which I say Tough, win you conf championship, you are in.

Under this, almost everyone controls their own destiny. there may some disagreements between the G5s but that would still be better.
