Oviedo entry level fishing spots?

So my four year old wanted a Disney princess fishing pole so she bought us each a pole for my birthday. Problem is, I haven't been fishing since I was 10 and have no idea where to go or how to get started. I went out and bought a tackle box with a couple of hooks and bobbers included and now I'm looking for a spot to drop some worms.

Any tips or location suggestions for a true amateur?

Lake Mills Park in Chuluota would be perfect.
