Does anyone more familiar know if there are likely to be spaces available that evening in the nearby city surface lots at normal (non-event) rates?

Don't think there are any events going on over at Amway so parking almost anywhere should not be a problem.

Cheyenne has that small surface lot behind it but I almost always park at SunBank Garage.

Thought I heard all the surface lots under I-4 are now closed because of construction.

See link below for info on Wed June 3rd event downtown.

The best place to park for free is near the intersection of Church St and Lake Ave. Should be plenty of spots on the street. It's only a 3 short blocks away. Too bad that I'll be out of town, I was looking forward to hanging out with KL.

Bummer...hopefully we can do it soon...first drink on me.

Metered parking is free from 6PM on. So as long as it's after 4, you can feed the meter until 6 and are set all night. The meters take credit cards now. I think the closest, most likely to be available metered parking would be right in front of City Hall or on Jackson just east of the back of the Grand Bohemian Hotel.

If anyone is coming from Winter Park or Seminole County and was curious about trying SunRail, the schedule might work out well for this event and you can't beat the train station location right next to Church Street. Southbound train arrives at Church Street at 5:51PM and there is one leaving back north at 7:40PM. I say might because I'm not sure if this is a 2 hour program or more of an open house where it would be okay to leave around 7:40. (Next train north isn't until 9:25)

My original plan was to take the train from DeBary or Sanford. Those northbound options put me back in my car.
