Perriman on front page of ESPN.com

Hope all these draft experts, NFL scouts and Execs who are drooling after his 4.2 non-FAT forty and pro day know what they are talking about and about to do. Personally..., I think that he showed flashes of brilliance, but to take him in the top 10-15 is taking a huge risk. What if he hasn't fixed the dropsies and disappears again when it's cold? Probably, the second half of the first round or early second is a safer pick.

People are making way too big a deal about Perriman's drops. He has more than made up for any dropped passes with many jaw-dropping catches. That Hail Mary catch against ECU last season was just one example. He is a tremendous receiver, and I think he is going to make an NFL team very happy.

Since whole NFL franchises and millions of dollars sometimes ride on at top 10-15 pick, you can't just dismiss anything. Just saying and looking from the outside in. Perriman was called a 3rd day pick or 3rd/4th rounder by some after the Bitcoin Bowl. Now.., without ever catching another pass, a franchise may be riding on that pick. Obviously some team that really needs a gamebreaking WR. We are talking a Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Randy Moss pick here. Would be a pretty risky pick that high IMO. However, nothing is ever guarenteed, that's why you have a history of draft busts and steals.

His draft stock rise probably has as much to do with him coming from a non-P5 program as anything else. If the son of a 10 year NFL player with this skill set went to LSU, Texas or USC he probably would've been tabbed as a 1st or 2nd rounder immediately after declaring. To be fair, Kiper had him in the first round almost off the bat. It takes a while for the ignorant masses to realize that some good pro football prospects are coming out of UCF. Clearly it's no secret to Bill Belichik.

Some if the negatives are true but sometimes you miss on a prospect looking at minor negatives.

his drops were early and almost always followed by something spectacular

go to the usf game and watch those plays on 3rd and long where he made something happen.....thats the WR the NFL is getting -- along with the deep threat / big plays
