Perriman signs deal

8.7 divided by 4, with the 4.6 signing bonus up front. Total of 13.3, minus 10% to his agent, and then taxes and player's dues, etc......

That's not a lot after taxes. Only the $4.6 is guaranteed. $5.985 over 4 years after fees and taxes???

Not sure of the tax rate at that level. But I'm sure it's steep.

Do all professional sports in the U.S. have a luxury tax? I know the NBA does. Some professional basketball players prefer playing overseas to avoid paying it. I assume there is a similar tax in the NFL?

tax backet for that kind of money is close to 40%...plus hyou have to pay state income tax in every state you play a game in that has a state tax...I dont think agents charge 10%...thats too high...with rookie contra9ct...players are better off not hiring an agent.
