A state given its miles of coastline, pristine beaches and Disney World really needs no "promotion" to get people to come. In fact, I pretty much want to do the opposite of anything Pitbull says. The government agency is funded solely by a state hotel occupancy tax and other taxes on tourism to make sure that everyone in the tourism business pays their fair share in promoting the overall tourism economy in Florida. Oklahoma has a similar agency, although not as well funded. Im sure they would pay no talent hacks like Joe Diffie if they had the coinage.
