No where in the US Constitution does it give authority of the Federal government to regulate marriage. None. It's none of the governments business who you fall in love with, including a few wives lol. The church could deny you marriage in their institution as it is their right. If ones state Constitution gives the state authority to regulate marriage they can. The 10th Amendment is clear, all powers not specified here in are reserved to the people and the states.

If you want to marry a few folks and those few folks want to marry you too, go for it man. Live and let live . It's not my cup of tea and their polygamy doesn't harm my monogamy what so ever.

If all marriage is about to the government is tax law and medical rights, I should be able to marry my widowed mom or dad so I wouldn't have to pay the inheritance tax.
