In a day that saw them featured on Fox's Big Noon Kickoff show, and with a packed house and national audience watching, the UCF Knights got overmatched by the Colorado Buffaloes, 48-21. Offensively, the Knights were out of sync at times, particularly in the running game. Head Coach Gus Malzahn and players say it boils down to one simple thing: execution. On the defensive side of the ball, UCF could not get stops consistently, and Colorado did not have much opposition as they moved the ball down the field.
For Colorado, their ability to stop the run and capitalize on UCF miscues allowed them to control the game and come out with a road win. Head Coach Deion Sanders believes this is the most complete game his team has played.
