As nice as that sounds, Coach Frost would be gone. Texas, an NFL team or somebody like them would offer him $10+million/yr.

I agree with Mikes. Personally I think if Holman starts its a bad sign. It would show that Coach Ks son and Patti couldn't carry the new offense.

It's most likely going to go like this
Holman will start the first game and 1-2 others will relieve him and get PT. Holman will take the beating at Michigan, then it's bye bye Holman. The future QB will get the green light. No need to waste an entire season on a senior in a new offense.

What if Holman excels in this offense? Why are we discounting that possibility? In my admittedly unqualified opinion, if Holman looks bad in games 1 and 2, perhaps it is mainly bc the oline is still terrible and we are doomed no matter who starts.

I'm hoping Holman can turn it around. That being said, he never looked comfortable running the ball on designed QB runs last year. My guess is that the O-line will be a little better, not a lot. We will pop a few plays here and there. Best case is probably 6-6 this year. 2017 we will be much improved, but it is likely the record won't indicate that. If Frost is still here in 2018, with two full recruiting cycles under his belt, this team should be back to what the fans expect (well, at least the reasonable fans).
