Press Conference Video: GOL named interim AD

It actually seems like he wants the job or at least doesn't mind taking it for at least the short term. Also, he's once again being his usual team player self and doing what's best for UCF. The guys a winner. Who can deny that? The Fiesta Bowl was the pinnacle. Sealed the deal for him at this University for at least a few more years.

My comment about him doing this last week was based upon my
Long Island experience of knowing many High School head coaches
who were also the A.Ds. The difference in this situation (college)
is over the course of the year, the college A.D. does more travelling.
Don't believe this will be needed much in the next 6 months with
the league and all that's been settled as GOL alluded to.

GOL has always been a big supporter of all sports and has always
believed in his program (notebook he showed Hitt). Since its been
successful with football, don't be surprised if he tries to put more pressure
on other programs that aren't keeping up the standards of his academics
and athletics programs. Slackers beware...this is what GOL
is excited about. In house stuff for now.

If he moves to full time A.D., I'm sure UCF would still owe him the
guaranteed money from his current contract and the A.D. salary :)

Lastly, this is a way GOL can step down from coaching and have
something to do to keep him out of his house (and wife's way).
Also, he would guarantee keeping jobs for existing staff and have the
ear of the H.C. Time will tell...
