This is where the Progressives really 'break down' and lose all moderates and critically thinking Americans.
This is where the Democratic party alienates a lot of 'critical thinkers' and 'moderates.' They were all for this bill... until Republicans added the ammendment, and then went complete against it. Why?

They didn't like the idea of ICE being notified if an undocumented resident tries to buy a firearm.

I'm still trying to figure this one out. There are all sorts of restrictions we're putting on law abiding citizens, ones that have committed no crime, that prevents them from buying a firearm.

Yet someone who is not tracked...
And doesn't show up in a system...
And cannot be verified at all...
Because they commit fraud on the paperwork...

Oh, we don't worry about them. And yes, I know the statistics. I also know the detailed statistics too, and that flips the argument. I.e., non-inner city citizen rates of repeat, violent crime. ;)

As always... I don't form my own opinion. I talk to law enforcement to understand their view on the matter. So...

Worry about citizens at gun shows?
But not undocumented residents?

This is why Americans look at this, objectively, and go...

"Oh, special protections and privileges... For who again? Someone who just committed fraud on a form to buy something that only citizens, who are of excellent standing, should be able to do?"

Fraud is fraud is fraud... Stop supporting it. Yes, turn them into ICE if they go try to buy a gun. It's bad enough the FBI doesn't get to prosecute the tens of thousands who commit fraud every year because of how the law is written (protecting existing criminals too).

And, again, I know how the police feel about that one. They really hate the laws on the books that protect seemingly everyone but the law abiding citizen.

So... AOC et al. can threaten those 26 House Democrats all they want. I just see this backfiring. At some point... Well, broken record. ;)

As always... Just your resident, objective Libertarian saying... "I get it, Democratic voters want people to stop demonizing undocumented residents... But don't let Democratic representatives pull this BS, and undermine citizens either." It looks worse than hypocritical, but 'special rights.'

I read that whole thing and you could have said it way more succinctly. It would have had way more impact with 10% the number of words that you typed.

The hell is wrong with you? Who is dumb enough to actually read that insane manifesto?

the bigger news here is BS has aol.com still in his rotation

You were part of the hay day of the Internet revolution if you can remember this AOL homepage. The thrill of seeing that full mailbox and having Buddies online, which was the precursor to AIM

The beauty of these posts is that it brings everyone together. Liberal, conservative, progressive, 3rd world dictator....... we all agree that BSs posts are too long.

BS serves a higher purpose. He’s playing the long game

There is nothing funny about this post but it still makes me laugh.
Actually, that is a funny (yet true) post, and the AOL comments did make me chuckle.

I was looking for a more 'neutral' article, not Fox News or Washington Times. I often get Yahoo or, more rarely yet, AOL. It was AOL this time.

But I cannot fault the jokes.

So you see a news article on a biased site. You know you'll get ridiculed for posting the americanthinker or whatever lol worthy site you use. Instead of realizing you're using biased sources you try to hide it by finding the same story replicated on "neutral" sites.

Searching for a New York Times version of an article you only know about due to your biased media choices and trying to hide it is dishonest posting.
