Jed May of UGASports.com caught up with Class of 2023 quarterback Malachi Singleton after his game on Friday night. He was there to chat mostly about his interest in Georgia, but UCF was part of their conversation. Big thanks to Jed for sending over the full video interview.
On his summer visits:
"It was good getting out and seeing colleges, trying to build bonds with coaches. I definitely look forward going to some games."
Which schools stood out?
"Definitely UCF. Georgia. Florida. Ohio State."
May then asked Singleton to comment more about UCF and what Gus Malzahn likes about him:
"He said he loves my game. He says I'm a perfect fit for his type of offense."
Then May name dropped Cam Newton in saying that was indeed a great statement coming from Gus.
"It's a great compliment. He's coached a lot of great college QBs."
He goes on to speak a little bit about Georgia, which you can read in his story below.
As a high school junior, Singleton is in no rush to make a decision but says he will commit prior to his senior year.
