Question about the forum software

Is there a way to change the "watched" threads default to be off rather than on? I found how to turn it off for each message, but I would really prefer the default to be off. I don't really need emails for every post.

Under "Alert Preferences" uncheck "Replies to a watched thread"

Also under preferences you can change these:
*Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...
*and receive email notifications of replies
