question: is Rooney the answer

Well, it's been 7 years and we are no where close to FSU or UF. Not sure. I thought we would have been further along and been able to keep our high ranking. We have no pitching. I would say we are not there. If not after 7 years, then when? Thoughts? Opinions?
I guess the question would be what are the expectations for the coach? Has he achieved them or come close? Has he had the resources to do so?
- Win the conference
- Stay within the top 25 rankings
- Reach a regional
- Win a regional
- Reach the college world series
- Get players drafted
I'd like to start off this post by pointing out that the season hasn't ended yet. If we get back to playing the way we were early in the season, we could make a run in AAC pool play and, who knows, maybe finally win a Regional. Stranger things have happened in sports. Rooney still has an opportunity to get off the hot seat.
Now, assuming that we don't make any progress this season, I say we give Terry Rooney one more chance and bring him back for 2016. If he doesn't at least get the team to the Super Regionals next year, then I think it'll be time to search for a new head coach.
