This may be a dumb question but I live in Ca and I was curious if it was easier to order visitor tickets through Stanford or order them online from UCF somehow? I just don't want to buy tickets and then not be surrounded by my fellow Knights. Oh, and is anyone else planning on making the trip?

While this will be a popular road trip for many Knights (maybe only time UCF ever plays at Stanford), odds are because of the distance/cost of travel from FLA to CA...there still will be tix available thru UCF's allotment after GKC priority...so I would contact UCF Tickets later this Spring/Summer and put down a deposit for UCF section tix.

Believe the Giants are home that weekend at AT&T Park...so we are planning to catch a game there that weekend too.

Probably Cheaper through stub hub or other ticket site...doubt UCF will bring out all the season tix holders to that game

Price of tix is the least concern for most...especially with all the travel...plus, as the OP noted, he wants to sit with other UCF Fans in the UCF Sections...which most fans seem to want for road games.

PS. I know a lot of UCF Fans....many from FLA...with other alumni who live all over the country....as this could be a once in a life-time game for many to play at Stanford or any other team in the Bay Area (Cal).

Here's a question: Will this be the first time UCF has ever played a football game in the state of California? I know we've never faced any California-based teams that are currently in the FBS. I don't think there are any California-based teams in the FCS, Division 2, Division 3, etc. that we've faced, are there?

Yes.

Add in the fact that its at Stanford (much better campus/school from a visitors and football fan view than Cal), plus, how UCF has already played multiple games at South Carolina in the past....that's why this Stanford Game will be a popular road trip for many UCF Fans.

Northern California is amazing....from Wine Country to the North to Monterrey/Pebble Beach/Carmel to the South...one could spend a ton of time before/after the game. (San Fran "looks good" from Golden Gate Park...after you see that...go North to Wine Country or South to Pebble).

If anyone wants recommendation in the bay area( I have lived all over there...east bay, south(Palo Alto), north(wine country), etc), let me know. I know San Fran good as well. I haven't lived in Cali since 2009 though. I am not a native though. Born in AZ.

Here's a tip for any UCFers making the trip bring jackets and jeans summertime in San Francisco is actually cold as all hell. Can't tell you how many people make this mistake. South Bay, Palo Alto may be warmer but SF is cold.

Jared is spot on! Only SF is cold though. If you venture into any of the suburbs it will be pretty warm or hot(Palo Alto is usually in the 80s in the summer during the day). Its nicer in SF in the fall and winter usually. The problem in the summer is the fog. It can stay think some days. SF generally sucks in terms of the weather.

Btw, go to the mission district in SF. They have HUGE burritos for cheap! Some of the best Mexican you will ever eat.

We'll be making the trip.

Anyone here affiliated with the San Francisco alumni association chapter? Would like to work with them on hosting a tailgate and getting members of the L.A. and Denver chapters to travel.

Get ready for a big pitch by the alumni association and UCF Foundation to reach out to supporters on the west coast. I am privy to a little details and look forward to solid support by UCF peeps.

It's a business trip on a Saturday!

I'm affiliated with the SF chapter but I haven't made an event yet, mostly cause I have really young kids though. They have a Facebook page so maybe it'd be worth it to message them.
