Lee Logan, who was a familiar sight at UCF sporting events for more than 30 years, passed away today after a long illness.
Logan, who worked at UCF as an academic adviser, lent his time to staffing nearly every type of UCF sporting event. He was the primary scoreboard operator at all basketball, baseball and volleyball games, and softball games that didn't conflict with baseball. He also worked the Bahamas events in more recent years, including the Battle 4 Atlantis.
He was active in that capacity until the start of this year, when his health deteriorated.
Lee was a longtime poster on this open board, going by the name of @pittpal, an homage to his Pittsburgh roots.
His UCF athletics knowledge was unsurpassed. I value all the stories and background he relayed to me through the years.
Charge on, Lee.
