Ranking the Top College Sports Programs

Yes, we would like to and need to do better. But given all of the built in advantages of P5 vs G5, lets take a look at a few things.

There are two P5 programs (Wake Forest and Washington State) that were worse than the worst AAC program.

There are 20 P5 programs (inclding Michigan and Penn State) that are ranked worse than the AAC's top program (Cincinnati).

There are 12 P5 programs (including Boston College and Kansas) that are ranked worse than UCF.

As far as UCF is concerned, our horrible basketball and baseball performance this year killed us. I do expect basketball to be better this coming season. Problem is, baseball could be worse considering we are losing a lot of experience, we only have one known good pitcher, and our coaching staff doesn't seem to have figured out how to get the best out of players on a consistent, season long basis.

UAB and Marshall are ranked ahead of us and schools like Michigan. 'nough said about that stupid formula.

Thinking like this and people like you perpetuates this bias and prejudice problem in college athletics. Its the old boy club that want to judge on color rather than the content of character or accomplishments. For that, I wave my finger in a disapproving matter at you, sir.

Really? Anyone that thinks Marshall and UAB are betters than Michigan must be on Mars. Is there any sport where a Marshall or UAB would consistently beat Michigan? Not just 1 lucky win.

What are you basing that off of? Did you watch all their games last year. Im betting you didn't. So you're just basing that on names just like a prejudice person judginhg on the color rather than on a content of a person's character.

Where are the posters that recognized that is morally wrong and has held UCF back, almost making us a 3 class citizen in FBS.

Yeah, I'll be sure to catch all of UAB's football games this year... idiot!

Just google 2015 UAB football schedule for me... tell me who they are playing for homecoming?

Ok, I'll give you a hint... UAB cancelled their program. Only to decide a year later that they may have made a mistake and are trying to come back in 2016. And if you look how UAB got their points, it was their basketball program. they got 30 points for being a 6-6 team that didnt go to a bowl game. Realistically this type of ranking is completely invalid outside the top 10 for all around athletics.... Ohio State getting 100 points alone for winning the NCAA's in wrestling automatically put their entire athletic program over ours in this system of scoring, (before counting what they did in football or basketball). This isn't a good system for ranking programs a 1-122. Its good for finding number 1 and thats it.
