I don't see what the big deal is. If he felt like he wasn't treated right, don't commit, and he didn't. There is no story here. It's not like he committed, then they reneged later or something like that. I don't see why he had to throw Meyer under the bus, either. Just another person with a site trying to get clicks.

The bigger and better the school is, if you're not the best of the best, you're going to be treated like crap. That's just be way it is. As far as Meyer's personality, as compared to say Frost from what I can tell. Well.., it's like night and day. I work for an amazing boss and I'm always pulling for the guy (Frost) to succeed that shows great character/integrity and treats people with respect. Meyer is arrogant a-hole for a lot of reasons beyond this article. You can be successful without having to be a jerk. He comes off as caring about his best players, but not necessarily caring about all of them and sometimes people in general. Only if you're someone that can benefit him in some way.

He probably demanded a starting job while Meyer explained that he too could compete against several other 4 and 5 star Buckeye recruits. He was butt hurt obviously !

How can somebody not know that Urban Meyer is a complete prick and two-faced liar? I am not saying that because I dislike him, this is just the general reputation of the guy from many people who have been in contact with the guy. He is that type of coach that when he is the coach of your team you say "Yes he is an a$$hole, but he is OUR a$$hole". Ho denying he has been successful, but the guy has burnt bridges everywhere he has been. So I don't think it is much of a news story to hear that he treated someone poorly.
I follow tOSU quite closely for a number of reasons. His players seem to like him and certainly appreciate winning which has lead to opportunities for many in the NFL. The finest eleven players line up on offense and defense at Ohio State. Frankly, it's big business !

I know many people who dealt with him at UF and a few at Utah. It is big business and Urban Meyer says a lot of things to people that he knows are not true and that is intended to sway opinion. I know that in the upper echelons of college football winning is all that matters. Urban will do whatever he needs to to win. Players should know that by now.
He is. But he wins, so in the end the only one's who complain are those losing to him either on the field or due to lack of playing time.

So the kid starts grilling Meyer about not offering sooner, and Meyer finally shuts him down with the cold hard truth and he can't handle it, so he pouts about it publicly and acts offended at Meyers response.
I don't like Meyer or OSU, but if I was Meyer and could sign kids just like him at the rate of a dime a dozen, and he started trying to put me on the spot like that and wouldn't let it go, demanding to know why I didn't offer him a year earlier, I would have put him in his place too, pulled his scholarship offer and had security escort his butt off campus.
