The last few years have spoiled me. I came into this season with big but not huge expectations thinking we would just reload instead of rebuild. The FIU loss totally surprised me and really crushed my hopes and instead of a usual day of being bummed it actually left a bad taste in my mouth for a few days. I originally thought Stanford would crush us but as the week wore on I began to think we could play well b/c they in bad shape too.
Now, after watching that pathetic performance last nite and seeing a bunch of players on the field that I had to refer to the official roster to find out who they were, the reality has set in and I'm good now.
So expectations have been tempered and all I want to see is progress. Of course there's a lot to play for, but it seems that several teams around the AAC have really improved, so I don't know where we will end up.
