Remember when people cared about UCF basketball?

Yep, i'm thinking that it might happen tomorrow too.

That was an embarrassing performance last night at home on national TV. I saw a lot of not wanting to get back on defense, not wanting to rotate over in front of the ball, not wanting to challenge shooters, defensive confusion. On offense, I've never seen a Division 1 game where so many jump shots thud off the back-side of the rim and backboard, just not even aimed right. Once again the national announcers were incredulous at the lack of resistance. These are definitely the last few games of this era. There's no reason to think next year will be any different from these last three.

Not going to happen, but i'm sure he even knows that this will be his last season.

Things are bad. I hope Danny White is on the horn calling potential coaches. This just isn't going to work. Next year will be the same crud. (like last year). FIRE DONNIE ASAP.

And you would be wrong...regardless of the head coach/staff.

Just bringing back BJ Taylor will be a huge bonus...plus, going from 11 to 13 eligible scholarship players available (lost Goodwin's scholarship from last summer) will be a big boost to depth.

When/if UCF was at full strength...none of the 3 Seniors that UCF is losing this year would be in starter roles (Shaheed Davis, Walker and Blair), so it will be addition by subtraction...let alone UCF will have 2 pt guards again on the roster next year (Sheppard) and a more diverse 3/4 player in Hazen.

Add in improvements from McSpadden and Fall...so no, next year will not be the same crud...as the next coach will have a full and more talented roster available.

Hold that thought

Can Scott Frost coach basketball also? Maybe he can double dip.

I agree with the anti-donnie posters. This team is lacking coaching. Last night was horrible. He just lost the team. They were flailing all over the place and made Houston look like the Harlem Globetrotters. Coaching calls time outs and gets the players back within the offense.

I have no faith it will improve next year. It is not even competitive basketball and very reminiscences of 2015 UCF football. Let him finish out the conference tourney then give him the boot.

I agree we should keep DJ.

Honestly I figured he would get to .500 with a deeper bench. This season was a failure losing some of our OOC games. Regardless of losing BJ we will make a move. I think we have enough pieces to have a good team next year.

Its a shame if the sources are correct. DJ should have stayed at least two more years. Hopefully the next coach can figure out our talent much faster.

Yeah I remember those days, there used to be You and Hoops who cared. I think Hoops gave up. :grimace:

Excuses excuses, everybody has them. We could have if we had this, BS! Take adversity and handle it. He's been he long enough to fill the coffers with talent, backup talent and free throw makers. Why is he special that he gets another chance?
