The UCF Knights Football team won their week 2 contest over Sam Houston State 45-14, paced once again by an overwhelming ground game. Senior running back RJ Harvey set the tone early, and Myles Montgomery and Peny Boone helped to close things down. Quarterback KJ Jefferson also had an improved performance from week 1, which improved accuracy and command of the offense. On defense, the Knights forced two turnovers and were stout against the run, clogging up the Bearkats offense for most of the game. The Knights move to 2-0, but face their first road test of the season against Big XII conference mate TCU.
