Our offensive line , tight ends and running backs did an absolute $hit job protecting MK.
This is where I don’t think the group was really prepped for MK starting.
The breakdowns were constant and included the last drive several times including the last set of downs. Gus didn’t have an answer for Marshall #1 at striker. Changing the quarterback at half, changing the gameplan and terrible protection is why we lost the game. We also need underneath routes or checkdowns in situations like 3rd and 4. No MK could not have run it there - linebacker was closing at LOS.
Not sure why we didn’t have Plumlee running the ball like he did Tulane in the first half. Not sure why that wasn’t there. All in all what a disappointment
