UCF's hire of Scott Frost as head coach has the full attention of Rivals100 athlete Bruce Judson.

On the day the news broke, Judson tweeted his excitement regarding the move, believing he'd be a great fit in the Oregon-style offense Frost is bringing to Orlando.

Last week, he was visited at school by new assistant coach Troy Walters and this past Saturday made an unofficial visit to campus to meet with Frost himself.

"I've always known Frost was the offensive coordinator at Oregon so when I saw he got the UCF job I was hoping I would get contacted by him," Judson said. "When he got the job he said he's bringing the Oregon offense down to UCF and that automatically put them high on my list, like top three or top four. A week later Coach Troy (Walters) came by and we talked. He asked me if I wanted to come over and take a visit and that's what I did on Saturday. My mom and sister went over to Orlando and got a chance to sit down with Coach Frost for about 45 minutes. I really like him.

"He said he's going to hit this area hard in recruiting. At Oregon he recruited Florida and had to convince kids to go and play 3,000 miles away. Now he can offer that system to players right here at home. They're going to play that style and go fast. You've already seen it with some of the players he's recruited, like Adrian Killins and Q (Jaquarius Bargnare) from Orlando. He said he wants players like Charles Nelson and De'Anthony Thomas on the field at the same time."

Judson plays quarterback for Cocoa, but slot receiver is the likely college position for the 5-foot-9, 185-pound speedster. Frost already has a plan for how he'd be utilized in the offense.

"Coach Frost said he would want me to come in and work hard to earn a spot in the slot and maybe even outside running back," Judson said. "I know I can get on the field quickly anywhere I go, but I come from a spread offense so going into a system like that, having played quarterback in the spread, would probably be better for me. From the quarterback standpoint I know what to do in getting the receiver the ball, so making the transition I'd know what I need to do to get open. Playing time is big. I know I'd have to work for it. He told me he wants me to be his star recruit for the 2017 class. I'm from Orlando. It's my hometown. It's only 45 minutes away from Cocoa."

Judson plans to be a frequent visitor this spring.

Being so close, Judson says he expects to be a frequent visitor at upcoming spring practices.

"Coach Frost told me to come and watch them work out any time that I want," Judson said. "He said the first couple days of spring practice probably won't look like what he wants, but it'll get there. UCF already has some good people there, it's just missing that speed of Oregon. He feels like he'll be able to get it here."

In just a couple weeks on the job, Frost has landed commits from three local standouts - Killins, Bargnare and Brandon Moore.

"I'm friends with all three of them," Judson said. "I've played against Q. I know Adrian from track. I've been talking to them all since Frost got the job. I talked to Brandon last week."

Judson has offers from just about everyone in-state as well as most SEC and ACC schools. He visited Florida and Florida State during the season and says he could make additional spring visits to Ole Miss, Clemson, Kentucky and Alabama.

"After the New Year, I'm going to put out a top 10 and then later on a top five and go from there," Judson said. "I'll have that top five through my senior season. I'm going to look at education and then after that the relationship I have with the coaching staff. I want my mom to feel comfortable with where I go. I'm looking for a bond. You'll be there with those coaches and players for three or four years. I want to make the best out of it."

He's not sure when he'd be ready to make a decision, but he does feel UCF will be one of his primary considerations.

"I just feel like with UCF bringing the spread, that's big," Judson said. "Other schools like Florida are pro-style, pound, pound, pound. At UCF they'll be reading off somebody, lots of runs, bubble screens. They're going to get the ball in the athletes' hands. Coach Frost said they're going to have like five De'Anthony Thomases or Charles Nelsons on the field at the same time. Nobody in the conference can stop that."
