Probably the only thing I’ll remember of this 2024 UCF football season.

From the AP:

Record-breaking score

UCF coach Gus Malzahn said aside from winning the game and sending his seniors off with a win, the goal was to ensure Harvey set the program’s record for most career touchdowns in UCF history.

Harvey accomplished that with a 5-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter. That gave him 47 total touchdowns in four seasons with the Knights, passing Kevin Smith for the all-time lead. He added a receiving touchdown in the fourth quarter too.

Harvey finished his season with 1,942 total yards and 25 touchdowns. He also completed his first pass for 18 yards in the second quarter.

While I'm sure 95 percent of everyone was trained on the great Georgia-GaTech Overtime game (I was switching backnforth), but after the end of the UCF-Utah game, and after all the handshakes, Rj Harvey sat by himself at the end of the bench. Head in Hands, occasionally looking up into the stands, and it appears he was both sad and happy and soaking in his final moments in the bounce house. The Tv coverage zoomed in on him for about 2 or 3 minutes while the announcers sang his praise. It was touching.

During the pregame Fox Orlando coverage, they were interviewing Rj's family on the sideline. It looks like he has a great family. The one question that stuck out is when they asked his parents what NFL team is preferred he played on. They were very non-committal and just stated RJ just wants to play. I'm hoping he has a long and successful career in the pros and he gets drafted on a team that will allow him to prove he belongs. He deserves it.
