Robots lurking?

On the Forum screen in the lower right corner it shows how many/which members are on-line. It also shows the number of guests but it also showed the number of robots. What is that?

Without getting too technical in how the Internet works, these robots are reading your email, search history and word documents for clues as to what ads to show you. That is why you keep getting ads for ChineseMidgetMonkeyPorn.com and also ads for Blueberry Eggo Waffles (it is an inexact science).
