ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The 44th season for UCF has arrived with Friday's Opening Knight against Siena. First pitch at the UCF Baseball Complex is slated for 6:30 p.m. and all fans will be welcomed free courtesy of CFE Federal Credit Union.
The first 1,000 fans through the gates Friday receive a UCF Baseball schedule and car magnet.
Due to events at the CFE Arena on Friday and Sunday, Garage F will be charging $10 per vehicle. Free parking for those contests is available in the baseball grass lots behind the scoreboard and the E8, E7 and E6 surface lots located off Orion Blvd. at Bright House Networks Stadium (Parking Map).
A pair of Knights -- Dylan Moore and Zach Rodgers -- will be inducted into the "Knights of Honor" before the game. Moore was selected in the seventh round by the Texas Rangers in the 2015 MLB Draft, while Rodgers was selected as a Collegiate Baseball All-American after going 10-1 in 2015 with a 2.35 ERA.
Joining Moore and Rodgers in throwing out the first pitch on Opening Knight will be Darnell Sweeney (Phillies) and Danny Winkler (Braves). The former Knights made their MLB debuts last season.
