Fans are invited to attend UCF Basketball Fan Knight on Nov. 10 to catch a glimpse of the 2015-16 men’s and women’s basketball programs. The free event will be held at CFE Arena beginning at 7 p.m. and feature fan contests, an autograph session and more.
The evening will feature a handful of giveaways for both students and season ticket holders. The first 150 students at UCF Fan Knight will receive a voucher to receive the 2015-16 Knightmare Student Section shirt, which can be redeemed at the first men’s home game on Nov. 18. UCF season ticket holders will be able to redeem their November bobblehead vouchers at the event.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and fans will be provided with free parking in Garage D.
Men’s head coach Donnie Jones enters his sixth season at UCF with a rejuvenated squad that looks to be one of the biggest in the American Athletic Conference. The Knights return three starters from last season, including conference all-rookie honorees Adonys Henriquez and B.J. Taylor. UCF opens the season on the road against NCAA Tournament participant Davidson on Nov. 14. The Knights’ schedule features a total of 11 programs that qualified for the NCAA or NIT Championships last year.
Women’s head coach Joi Williams returns for her ninth season at the helm of the program and returns three starters from last season, including all-conference honoree Zykira Lewis. The Knights open the season at Nebraska-Omaha on Nov. 14 before holding their home opener on Nov. 17 against FIU. The Knights are slated to square off against 11 programs who advanced to the NCAA or WNIT Tournaments a year ago.
