Much less than $5 mil so that's goodSome details of the final agreement are starting to surface......
George O'Leary will be paid $200,000 a year from 2016-20 to serve as a "special liaison" to the athletics department, according to a copy of his contract he agreed to release to the public after his retirement Sunday.
If it was you would you just hand back a million dollars...the answer is "no".Wonder if he will actually have any pull as a consultant in this context? If so, one of his first recommendations should be to free up that 200,000 we're paying to a retired millionaire so that we can try to retain some quality assistant coaches. As he knows, the struggle to do so is real.
Well it depends on how much you already had. Come on now.If it was you would you just hand back a million dollars...the answer is "no".

First off, if stayed on and made Hitt fire him he gets 5mil plus the consulting fee. He did the honorable thing and retired, saving the school heartache and $$. The school should do the honorable thing and pay the 200k per year for 5 years like they agreed to do. For god's sake quit looking for reasons to be pissed off.
You have what you wanted, he is gone, and even with Key's payoff, it cost less than 2mil. UCF got off cheap.
