Russia wants to go to the moon

This scares me a bit. Once other countries, specifically China, are able to get to and land on the moon, Space (and the moon) will become hugely contested. This will be the beginning of countries making claims, setting boarders, and going to war over the moon, assuming something valuable is found.
There have already been instances of countries "weaponizing" their satellites and even one US military officer (don't remember which, but probably high up Air Force) saying that they need to be (read: already are) hardening their strategic satellites against theft, hacking, and destruction.
