Russian sanctions vs Chinese tariffs

The sanctions are binding not only for the US markets but also European markets. Tariffs on Chinese goods only affect US markets. Since Russia has been more and more active in European markets, especially energy, cutting them off could be a big deal. Although, with Germany beholden to Russia for energy, we may find a reluctance to enforce those sanctions from some of our allies.
