Saudi’s Killed Jounalist

If Trump knew that there was a plan by the Saudi Government to kidnap this journalist and he still floated a rogue killers or interrogation gone wrong story he's lying to the world. Hes assisting in covering up what is turning out to be the torture and beheading of a journalist.

Also disturbing is the pussyfooting of posters on this board who will do anything they can to not criticize this man. Apparently up to and including supporting the cover up of a brutal premeditated assassination of a journalist.

Lying to the world? What's new. [eyeroll]

It's already been documented that our own intelligence agencies knew that the Crowned Prince wanted to lure him back to Saudi Arabia. We're to believe it's just 'a coincidence' that "rogue killers" got to him first---in the Saudi's Turkish Consulate no less.

I love how you guys think trump lying to the world means anything to these dipshits.

Newsflash, Trump has told 5,000 documented lies since taking office, these inbred MAGAts DGAF about the truth anymore.

Youe TDS is absolutely unreal but riddle me this- if our intelligence departments knew that MBS was trying to kidnap the guy, why on earth would they not alert him? Why would they not tell him not to travel to Turkey or much less, visit the Saudi consulate?

Are these reports bullshit or were our assets letting him get taken to see what happens next?

I guess I’m asking you to interrupt your crying and whining about trump long enough to answer this question in a somewhat rationale manner

Trump just pulled our Treaury Secretary from attending their finance meeting- a major blow to the integrity of the event.

TRUMP IS LETTING THEM OFF!!!!!

MY premise??!?!?

Good grief, if you aren't going to pay attention to anything on the news or on the internet, why bother 'contributing'?

Your premise is that Trump is letting them off since the intelligence agencies knew about a “plot”. I stated this seems ridiculous given that if they knew, they would have alerted the guy who was in imminent danger

You’ve been whining about this for days. It can’t be a surprise

What we know is that intelligence agencies intercepted Saudi officials' communications discussing strategies for luring Khashoggi back to Saudi Arabia where he would be detained.

There has been no official word regarding who this intelligence information was shared with. But retired intelligence officials say that this type of info regarding an American journalist would normally be shared with the highest levels of the Government as well as brought to the target's attention.

But like my odds of winning tomorrow's Mega-Millions, there's always a chance that this one was handled differently for entirely valid reasons that have yet to be revealed to the public. :)

Well, well, well.

CBS is reporting that not only are the Turks refusing to share this video/audio alleged evidence they have of Khasgoggi being killed, but now they are refusing to even confirm that it does, in fact, exist.

US Intelligence, and Pompeo, have asked the Turks numerous times to share the "evidence" that they have and so far they're refusing.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jamal-...a-shared/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab7e&linkId=58431477

Does the evidence really exist? CBS reports that news of this "evidence" existing came first and exclusively from pro-Government media outlets that are personally directed by Erdogan. If it does exist, why would an ally who wants to stick it to Saudi Arabia not be sharing with the US, when it was one of our residents killed?

Maybe the posters ITT will now finally understand why rushing to whine about Trump not "doing something!" is ridiculous until we have all the facts and evidence - which they clearly DO NOT have

So is he alive?

So is he alive?

Of course not. But as my post said, and you and Huckster ignored for days now, is that the US does not have the full evidence because 1.) The Saudis are investigating themselves and 2.) the Turks are apparently playing games and leaking stuff that isn't really true (but being reported as true by our wonderful media).

It's extremely fishy that the pro-Erdogan media outlets were sooooo quick to leak everything to the media, including this report that they had "audio and video evidence" of the murder happening, yet now their own intelligence agencies are saying they don't have anything to offer the US.

As I said, racing to whine about Trump and blame him so incredibly partisan and short sighted.

And he was last seen going into the Saudi embassy. You acknowledge that he's likely dead. 15 Saudis showed up with a bone saw. Members of that team have already died in "car accidents"

And yet here we are. "Too soon to determine what happened."

Fortunately the President doesn't take his orders from the Huffington Post or rabid left wing posters on a UCF message board. This is a key ally. God forbid our government wait for things like facts and evidence before taking up punitive measures.

Especially now that some of the "key evidence" that supposedly existed may not even exist and/or is not even being shared with US intelligence.

He literally just laid out a metric shit ton of FACTS AND EVIDENCE

Have you ever been in a consulate? Obviously not, but I'll give you a heads up, they are locked down. Nothing happens without the host nation's consent, literally the most secure areas in a major city.

Yet again you prove to be either trolling or pretending to be an utter idiot.

Would this be talked about if it was a Tanzanian journalist that was killed in Tibet under the same pretenses?

Mr. Hole,

If the United States was building a relationship with Tibet and a Tanzanian journalist who worked for an American media outlet was assassinated you should know that I would fully support pausing that relationship. America's biggest leverage in the world is that we ally up with countries that share our values. That provides incentives for nation's around the world to pursue human rights. Saudi Arabia needs to learn from this catastrophic mistake that silencing opposition is not worth the diplomatic cost.

This is actually a reasoned and rationale post. Kudos.

However all of this needs the context: they should learn from their mistake after a full investigation is done and all evidence is uncovered. Attempting to punish them before the facts are out is a recipe for disaster for the US. It's not how allies interact.

Who's conducting the investigation?

Who's conducting the investigation?

The Saudis, the Turks, surely our own intelligence agents, and probably a full network of western assets working with the Turks behind the scenes.

The guy is dead. What they need to know is EXACTLY how, on whose order, and specifically what that order was. We don't know those things and they make a huge difference in terms of diplomatic action.

It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out on whose orders it was when the hit occurred in Turkey's SAUDI CONSULATE for crying out loud.

Without question, NK. Not only was taking him out inside the Consultate incredibly brazen, it was also stupid. Doing it inside the Consulate meant zero chance of any plausable deniability. If the Prince's Saudi hit team had taken him out somewhere else inside the city, the "rogue killers" excuse that our President trotted out in public for them might well have played.

We're trying to have a normal conversation here - we could really do without your constant diatribes and attempts at humor IN HUGE BOLD.

The usual suspects here continue pushing this lie that Trump is sitting around refusing to prepare to be tough on Saudi and yet most everything he says refutes this entirely. From today:

"It will have to be very severe," Trump told reporters at Andrews Air Force Base. "It's bad, bad stuff," Trump said, before tacking on his preferred caveat:

Trump emphasized that his administration would "find out who knew what, when and where" about Khashoggi's fate. He also said Congress will be involved "very much" on what the next steps would be in the U.S.-Saudi relationship. "I will very much listen to what Congress has to say," Trump told reporters.

This is basically the extent of what he can actually say at this point given that we don't throw allies under any buses until we have every fact available in hand. Which we don't.

But meh- let's be OUTRAGED that we haven't already severed every tie with KSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

It's been reported tonight that the Saudi "investigation" has concluded that Khashoggi got into an argument inside the Consulate that turned into a 'fist fight' that led to his accidental death.

Good that this situation has finally gotten cleared up and we finally have THE FACTS, right 85? :)

Just a few teensie-weensie questions:
  • Why did it take until now for the Saudi Government to report this 'accidental' death?
  • Why did the Saudis originally report that Khashoggi had left the Consulate through a back entrance after his visit?
  • What was his argument with this Consulate official about?
  • Why were members of the Prince's security team who had flown to Turkey hours earlier seen entering the Consulate hours before Khashoggi?
  • Were any of the Prince's security team involved in "the argument"?
  • Where is Khashoggi's body?

Wow.

""In his last column for the Post, Khashoggi highlighted the need for independent and free press in Arab nations. He said the international community had turned a blind eye to the increasing rate at which Arab governments were silencing the press.

"These actions no longer carry the consequence of a backlash from the international community. Instead, these actions may trigger condemnation quickly followed by silence," Khashoggi wrote."

Damn bro, I think you've cracked the case. BRAVO HUCKSTER :)

You should forward these questions ASAP to the CIA, FBI, White House, Congress, DOD, State Department, etc. Clearly these are things that no one has considered and your questions very well may be the only thing preventing our government from accepting the Saudis results as Gospel.

Another can't miss post from DaShuckster!

The sad part is that the one group of people that Trump listens to/ cares what they think is his base. If they got pissed off he would stand up for American values. I'm not saying we should go to war or end our relationship with Saudi Arabia but we should punish them to the point where they weight their options very carefully before they decide to assassinate someone for being critical of them.

In this case, the United States tells the world "Hey, the Saudis' explanation sounds credible" followed by silence.

Would you feel better if Trump pre-empted normal programming and vowed to “get to the bottom of this and, er, hold someone responsible” and then move on and never actually hold those investigations?

The funny thing is that if these people got what they’ve been crying for, and Trump utterly blew up our relationship with KSA based upon media reports and speculation, they’d then label him as being reckless and a danger to our foreign policy.

Some people just want to go into hysterics no matter what.

That was Trump's 'tough' response before the Saudis' issued their "findings" yesterday.
