But man, him almost crying at the 9:50 mark in this video really touched me. He cares deeply about UCF guys. As does Scott Frost. ⚔⚔⚔

I'd argue he has had one of the tougher periods in UCF athletics to manage. Had to navigate covid which took a hit on dept financials, the B12 move, big change in expectations in the P4 and post Hitt/Danny White. Also I believe Cartwright being more academics focused has put more burden on Terry to carry athletics. I don't think he's been perfect, but we could have someone with no passion for the school.

Like the surgeon who can cure ur medical condition who doesn’t have the personality that u prefer or the personable surgeon who can’t cure ur condition I’ll take the initial.

Terry did a great job getting us the coach we wanted and no buyout of Gus or no buyout of the new coach. That’s what we should focus on

i'll stop call him tiktok after this financially responsible coaching transition. one thing i genuinely feared with us getting more money is that we would behave like USF and just waste the advantage buying out coaches.

I’ve been highly critical of Terry. Some of it was warranted. It was kind of obvious that Gus wasn’t leading us in the direction we wanted for over a year now. The extension right after getting killed by G-Tech, when he had done nothing to deserve it, was an absolutely terrible decision.

That said, he got us out of that contract financially in the most magnificent way possible. He worked the phones and got 11 recruits to sign with us including six 4-star players even without a coach. And then he hired IMO the best coach out there for us when it was abundantly clear there were no slam dunk hires who could come in here and excite the fan base and potentially succeed like Frost can.

So for that my opinion on him is definitely changing. I didn’t care that he never addressed Gus leaving. He was busy recruiting players and coaches. He handled this situation probably better than anyone else could. I hope he enjoys a little bit of down time now.

If I recall, he mentioned during the Frost press conference he was sorry he didn't speak about Malzahn earlier but then addressed it.

I think he took the motive of acting on the present and future as opposed to the past. He had a lot on his plate.
