According to the source, Schiano had a job offer from Central Florida following an interview for that job. Schiano had 24 hours to respond on the UCF offer and let it pass and the UCF program then hired Scott Frost this morning.
Schiano let the UCF offer expire because he felt good about his interview with the University of Miami decision makers for their head coach vacancy. Schiano has made it clear he is very interested in the UM job as he looks to get back into coaching.
