Bianchi believes and feels nothing. His columns are all about taking a random, provocative, or pandering position and doubling down until he satisfies his word limit. Every city has one of these hacks. After all the criticism and whatnot, it's weird seeing Bianchi getting a stiffy for UCF.
The difference is that Marc bleeds black and gold while Bianchi is just a bomb thrower. He may have real opinions but we'll never know what they are. It's just a job for him and he's an entertainer.Bianchi is the voice for the anonymous message board poster. He says everything that huggers like KL say about UCF but everyone still gives him $hit.
I'm pretty sure he is on antidepressants. You know, because he didn't get Skip's job at ESPN....After all the criticism and whatnot, it's weird seeing Bianchi getting a stiffy for UCF.
UCF "is" Orlando, almost by default these days. Every successful economic development effort that spurred hi-tech jobs in Osceola, Seminole, or Orange counties has originated directly at UCF. Meanwhile, our elected leaders and bureaucrats have obsessed over building downtown sports and arts structures. That said, the political and civic bosses will support what we tell them to because it's in their interest, too.So, what, he's the 1 public person who's outspoken about UCF joining the Big 12, no one from Disney, no politician, no signs outside museums (memphis), nothing.
Yes, it is what they hired him for. What sports talk hacks and newspaper columnists have been ordered to do. Pick an outrageous position at random and act outraged. It's just smack on the air and flaming in print to elicit hits. I wouldn't mind if his humor weren't banal, his metaphors hackneyed, and his by-the-numbers column templates worse than computer generated. There's gotta be more interesting wordsmiths they could hire.Bianchi cant win with you guys. He can be a windbag sometimes but isn't that his job?
