Reading between the lines...he said after UCF game he looked forward to coaching UCF 3 more times. Why only 3?! He's gone :-(

He said, "This Team" 3 more games. That is the most games "This Team" has. But, of course he is going to be a target for new coaching hires. Lets hope he stays. I think he will. He has a good thing going.

Lol, I know, it was a joke. I think he's here for 1 more year until someone comes after him hard. I just hope we can match or beat at that time. Need the fans to come back in a hurry.

Oh... So he's given up hope for a conf championship, even though we're not mathematically eliminated. #quitter

He's here for 1-2 more years at least. Need to anti up in 1 year for the defensive coordinator's raise.
I doubt the defense looks this good next year. We have a surprisingly talented backfield that are mostly seniors and we lose a lot at LB and DL. Let's see how he does over the next few years.

there's a couple redshirts and recruiting is going real well

the pressure on the defense should lessen with more experience on the offense, starting to see Jawon Hamilton become more comfortable and having more big play TDs. I expect him to be a star next season

Almost all of the D-line and backups return next year. That will be huge

I agree, he won't leave for a G5 and many P5s offered him before he took the UCF job. So there are probably only about 10-15 jobs he'd leave for. It's more a matter of when those open up.

yeah he turned down Syracuse and Maryland. He's not leaving the recruiting advantage relative to the rest of the conference and quality of life at UCF for just any job.

It would have to be a place like Georgia, Texas, UCLA, etc.

I don't see him having any interest in places like Mississippi State or bottom feeder Big10 Programs

But being unbias, who would take this risk. He's only won 6 games (not that stellar opponents). He's risky is a few on field decisions still. Don't you really think he needs a year or two more of HC experience to smooth out the rough edges? A loss after a fake punt on 4th and very long on the 49 or whatever, could sink a team playing a P5 (obviously had no effect against a crap Cincy offense). Plus, there's no shortage of coaches who run his style of offense. Heck, even FCS Kennesaw St does it, very successfully.

Texas has become a terrible job. Georgia just hired there coach and I doubt that he wants his family in LA (UCLA). That's not a great job either.

In addition, we have not won games because of a high powered offence. The defense is what have made it possible for us to win games. Until we are a balanced team I don't see any big schools taking a chance on a first year coach.

He's made a lot of coaching mistakes and hasn't beaten anyone good yet. At this point he's becoming a pretty good program builder, but he's a below average gameday coach

True but Danny White and Dr Hitt didn't shy from telling Frost about the POSSIBILITY of a Big 12 P5 invite. Now, that's basically off the table for probably another 7-8 till contract runs out.

Even if UCF is in AAC for the distant future , yes, it's better than some P5 jobs...but withought P5 hopes for UCF, a.few.more P5 jobs might be somewhat interesting to look it.

Coworker from out of the blue mentioned you better offer Frost more money or he's gone. I mentioned the same reason he won't go - 6-4 record, give him another year or two. Maybe he can go back to Oregon though...some anti-Frost media types won't be happy..but its equivalent to when Helferich was promoted in Oregon. That is if they want to keep that offense in the first place.

Wow! tough crowd. I would be disappointed if he left after one year, and one year is not enough time to gage how good of a coach he is at this stage in his career. I think Houston's coach Tom Herman will go now that the B12 changed their mind. :sunglasses:
