Scott Frost will not coach the Oregon Ducks in Alamo Bowl

can't believe Georgia is letting Kirby Smart coach through the Playoffs, if Bama makes the Final he won't be in Athens till mid January

Really makes no sense. So much on the line for Bama, to the point that they need a coordinator 100% focused on their matchup. Meanwhile UGA needs a head coach focused on putting together a staff and recruiting. He's supposed to do both? We should be looking to flip some of those UGA commits fo sho. While Kirby fiddles Athens burns.

It would have been a great marketing tool for UCF if Coach Frost was coaching in this game. Would have gotten some mentions. But, I'm sure he is too busy for this.

Malek Young -- 3 star DB/WR from Coconut Creek, FL, currently committed to UGA and has/had (not sure) an offer from UCF on the table. Go get him, Frosty!

Great news for us, but hopefully he doesn't leave UCF hanging without a HC in a major bowl down the line. It's reassuring that he didn't do that to Oregon last year when they were in the playoffs.

Frost didn't leave for another job last year because he was coaching in the playoffs. It's a huge deal. If your team is playing in a ho-hum bowl game, then sure a coach can leave. However, if it's a chance for a national-invitational tournament-championship the coach should stay. It's too important to the school and the players. UGA will be alright. They have a huge name and the kids in GA, where most of the recruits are from, love them. Kirby should be loyal to the school and coach that gave him his shot.

This is funny....ucf is going to flip a Georgia commit. Thanks, this was the best laugh i've had today so far.

Chris Williams. Announced on twitter. Said he let his team down so it kinda sounds like he didnt wanna leave. Who knows.

I know Tyler Harris had an offer from Bama but I don't remember if he was ever committed to them

Yea seems Frost called him up to tell him he's not allowed back on the team or something, based on his Twitter timeline. Was all excited for next year, then boom. Said he isn't coming back.....https://twitter.com/c_willyrackedup

In my opinion that is a MAJOR loss. From what I saw out of him last spring I thought he was our best CB. I was really hoping he would come in and bolster a very weak secondary. Hopefully there is a good reason for not allowing him to come back.

I didn't get to see him in practice but everyone's reviews said he was a monster out there. For sure loss. Hope he does well elsewhere.

expected that Frost is going to process a few guys off of the Program but didn't expect Williams to be one of them, could be an off the field reason that the public is not aware of

Alamo Bowl: Oregon v TCU - Oregon offense my change a little without Frost on-hand, but the over/under with these two teams will probably be over 100

Aannnd, he decommitted from UGA yesterday:

On Friday, cornerback recruit Malek Young, of Pompano Beach, Florida, announced on twitter that he is no longer considering himself committed to Georgia.

"I would just like to thank all the Georgia coaches for welcoming me to the family while I was committed & all the love but as of today I've decommit from the university of Georgia I would like to open up my choices again & be highly recruited," Young wrote.

It does suck that Chris Williams is gone, but we have a lot of young talent at this
position. He didn't play last year so it's not like we lost an actual starter or a productive player.
I would speculate that Frost made this decision based on off the field issues. I trust Frost until proven otherwise as he's a big character guy.

Would you say that if the Knights were in a bowl?

Yes. I don't put that much stock in bowl games where players check out worrying about the combine and no championships on the line. The 2013 fiesta bowl win was neat but I'd rather take beating a P5 team in the regular season instead of a bowl game.
