Scott Frost will struggle more than anyone this year in Florida recruiting.

  1. UF and FSU will be locks for having great classes.
  2. Mark Richt has much better FL ties, experience, and a better program to pitch.
  3. USF now has Charlie Strong who is one of the top FL recruiters in the country, and plans to bring on a great recruiting staff. A huge season and hype to play off.
  4. FAU now has Lane Kiffin who has great Florida ties and a recognizable pedigree young players will respect (USC, Alabama, Tennessee).
  5. FIU has Butch Davis who was the HC that built the 200 Miami team, was the HC for the Browns and worked for the Bucs/Cowboys, and the HC at NC. He's back in South Florida where he was incredibly successful before.
  6. Scott Frost- Who has one season of recruiting in Florida. Seems like we will struggle the most since we have the least FL experience.
Truthfully we have the least experienced coach in the state and one of the weaker teams. I expect Frost to struggle tremendously in recruiting this year.

Umm, our class is almost full and will sign 2-3 early enrollees next week.

6/7 of the schools that you mentioned run the same offense and defense. 1 does not. We will have no problem recruiting the players that we need.

I remember the end of last year's recruiting, Frost brought in some nice last minute recruits. He's got a nice base here in this class and should finish this year up on a similar note. Remember, that each year we're looking to keep a depth of about 50-60 quality players with a handful of big time playmakers on each squad. We're not far away from that and don't need to panic if all our recruits aren't rated as 3 and 4-stars. Case in point, current QB Marvin Washington recruit is rated as two star and he looks better than 3 star Bo Schneider who may never get to be a starting QB in Division I. If Milton doesn't work out next year (remember we gave Godfrey two years as starter), then it's nice to know we have Mack and Washington competing for the QB position.

Point is we're okay in this process and look much better than previous classes with few Florida recruits. I like our staff and so do a lot of Florida H.S. players and coaches.

Bo really missed UCF Sorority girls[laughing]. Pitt was depressing in comparison.

It wouldn't surprise me if he gives up on D1 Football that he ends up back here as a regular student.

Butch Davis certainly hasn't done anything exciting recruiting wise so far. It's been a month since he announced he's taking it, zzzzzzzzzz. No one's falling over themselves to get to FIU. Maybe these recruits need to look him up in Wikipedia- the guy's been away from coaching in college for eons.

"Tier 2 recruits: Quinton Flowers. Herb Miller (CB at FAU). Adrian Killins (RB at UCF). Each has skills, but wasn’t as complete a package (for whatever reason) as a Tier 1 school would like."

What a joke. I am sure any of the "Tier 1" would glad to have any of the three. If Florida could have Flowers at QB I am sure their season would have looked a bit different. I am no UWCF fan but there is no denying that he is a great QB.

Oh really!?!?!

I guess that stud CB from Miami that just committed to UCF must have missed your insightful analysis!

Lane Kiffin's first signee ... former FSU QB and former ESPN top 300 recruit De'Andre Johnson...while he comes with baggage, I'd love to see him running our offense next year.

I don't think that is true. Aren't most mainly pro-style but USF ran an up-tempo run-based spread option offense. Don't see why that won't continue under Strong due to their team makeup. FAU ran an up-tempo pass-heavy air raid offense last year but Kiffin will likely implement more of a West Coast spread offense.

Did someone forget to flush the toilet again? Look what floated to the top. If you miss Blake so much, you can find him in Jax. Go to their board.

Strong and Kiffin will recruit for a more pro-style offense. Strong might stick to the run based spread next year due to personel.

Lame thread.

CSF is going to crush it here!
