I get the feeling we have three camps of people.
1. Fire O'Leary no matter what
2. Let him retire this year and move on
3. Retain O'Leary
I feel like keeping O'Leary is risky only because he won't commit to how long. I think that kills our recruiting. If he would say I'm signing a six year deal and I'm done (and actually mean it) would you still be ok with GOL at the helm?
I'd rather see him retire because I don't think this staff can recruit and if we have to start over anyway why put the pieces back together to only have to start over in 4-6 years.
It's sad it ended this way but I think I'm hoping for option 2.
Realistically, GOL stays on another year. We win 2 games and then he's forced to retire at year end and we are another year behind.
