Seriously Pelosi?

I heard Trump announced he's no longer going to work with the Democrats on another recovery bill so I'm guessing that's it.

That damn Pelosi isn't interested in helping out 'the little guys' like Trump and the Republicans.

History will remember this day as the moment congress let American small business die. That falls on Nancy.

I for one want the bill to die, and that likely will cost me 2400 dollars.
How noble of you, business owners won't take the same path and we'll end up in the same debt with them getting hundreds of thousands in fake unneeded PPP loans and you just getting nothing this time around.

He's still going to get his $2400 next year, it's just that the millions more people will be out of work then. But whatever, principles.

Congress can't pass a clean spending or stimulus bill for anything, including when Americans desperately need one for their own financial security. Trump finally said enough is enough, and instead of doing the right thing Pelosi just tells everyone to go home.

Pelosi had a bill in the Senate in May. She passed another one a couple weeks back.

Mcconnell can't even get his republicans on the same page to pass a bill to the house.

Trump said stop discussing this altogether.

You blame the only part of our government that is being productive because you're a chud mouth breather.

How does Indianas finances look right now?

Do explain why you think it’s ok for people to hold COVID relief hostage to their own pet projects.
When is the most likely time for someone to go on a crazy spending spree, buying stuff that really makes no sense and throwing money around like it doesn't matter anymore?

No mention of the follow up comment? Pass a bill with just the $1,200 and it will be signed immediately. Throwing nonsense into every bill has to stop (in general, not just this).

They're doing good. Used up some savings to keep the 2020 budget in the black.

So if Indiana can be financially responsible and weather the storm, why shouldn't California (the 5th largest economy in the world) or New York (the financial hub of the world)? Explain why they should be bailed out when its clear that states can be financially responsible with far less resources.

It's not holding hostage, it's negotiation. You want A,B,C and I want X,Y,Z. Suddenly X,Y,Z becomes a pet project.

What about PPP, funding for municipalities, funding for schools, business loans?

Because states can't print money and denying them funding when the federal government is running the printers like crazy is just a play at expanding federal government power.

PPP isn't necessary anymore. There is still plenty of money left for business loans from the last round. Schools are funded locally. Municipalities and states have the ability to lay and collect taxes.

Tell that to Marco Rubio who called for PPP funding this morning.

It’s negotiation when it’s in scope of the need you’re trying to fill. When you’re using people’s needs as leverage to demand something unrelated get funded, then it’s holding hostage to personal and party interests. Especially when it’s partisans in the House using these tactics to keep their party mates from reaping the consequences of their own decisions.
