Funny thing is, I don't remember a whole lot of people around here praising and calling Trump the be all end all. It's more of a party v party issue that you lost with a resounding thud. Keep trying to align all of Trump's stupid comments/tweets with anyone who has a conservative slant. You just come off as even more desperate.

he says and does a lot of crazy things.

that said, hes probably one of the only presidents to really stick to his campaign promises.
 
once that Supreme Court Nominee gets in officially that's when you'll see more GOP start to turn on him if his approval ratings stay low and his current temperament continues

Good...as then the GOP will put up another "experienced" Politician in 2020 and get crushed in the election....let alone millions of voters staying home in 2018.

Yeah no big deal, it's only violent crime in inner cities. No one cares. Just ignore it but hey, the white families in the suburbs aren't getting their TVs stolen as much.

Not saying ignore it, but it isn't the "must panic, it's an epidemic" issue some people make it out to be. Inflation is going up too. Health care cost is going up too. Teens having anal sex is going up too. Step-relative porn is going up too.

Trump as the GOP candidate in 2012 still loses to Obama. This 'establishment can't win national elections' storyline is overblown bc Obama was the once in a generation perfect candidate for the Democrats.

Agree, but my issue is the context in which this is presented. Trump has pointed to Chicago more than once, so I see Sessions' statement to be more targeted at inner cities rather than the rest of the country. I wish his statement wasn't so general because it's incorrect as mentioned in this thread. But look at the last three paragraphs of the linked article in the OP, Trump is making the inner cities a point of emphasis and the violent crime assertion is correct when applied to inner cities.

During an address to the Major Cities Chiefs Association winter conference in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, Trump offered a different statistic, this time correctly noting there has been an increase in the murder rate within U.S. cities.

“In 2016, murders in large cities continued to climb by double digits,” Trump said. “In many of our biggest cities, 2016 brought an increase in the number of homicides, rapes, assaults and shootings. In Chicago, more than 4,000 people were shot last year alone, and the rate so far this year has been even higher. What is going on in Chicago? We cannot allow this to continue.”

According to FBI data and the last two annual reports by the Brennan Center for Justice on crime in the country’s 30 largest cities, those figures were accurate.

Personally, I thought they were great! The biggest problem is they never got much air time. It would have been a completely different election if they were in the Debate - just like how Ross Perot got most of his support after the first Debate.
