Shaquem Griffin

He's not going pro. That's obsurd.
He probably won't even get drafted, but I do think he's in the running for All-American and defensive player of the year for 2017.

How can Shaquem be 5th in sacks? I'm referring to his SIZE! Here are the sizes of #1 through #4:
6-3, 272 pounds
6-5, 255
6-4, 280
6-3, 250
That's the truly amazing aspect.

With 3 sturdy down lineman and three stout LBs it sets the plate for a player like
Shaquem to come in and use his speed and toughness to break up plays.

Look forward to watching him do this again next season.

Before the start of every defensive set up I'm always scanning where #18 is and follow him. He is always where the action is and fun to watch! Every play he is in Beast-Mode, then in post game interviews he is smiling and having a good time. He is infectious and great story. Next year he will be without his twin brother for the first time.

Rise and Conquer Shaquem Griffin !

There was one sack that was unbelievable. Don't know how Shaquem got to the QB. He seemed to be totally blocked. Suddenly, the Cincy quarterback was down. He's like a tiny version of Bruce Miller (or a big version of the Energizer Bunny).

Everyone needs to check out the photo on page C5 in the Slantinal's Sunday sports section. It shows a great view of Griffin leaping on the QB like a monster! Epic shot!

Not this year, but maybe after 2017 season. I wonder what his chances would be if he got his weight up to around 230 and had another monster season his senior year.

He has already defied longer odds.

Do you think his brother graduating will have any effect on him- maybe mentally?
Since his brother will be communicating with him from NFL camp after being drafted (3rd round?), it may continue to motivate him.

My guess is his brother will stay on campus and to into grad school. They like to stay close to each other when possible.
But not possible. Sure draft choice. Among nation's leaders at pass deflections and Ints. Speed to be a safety, shutdown skills to play corner. He still has lots to learn, but has improved every year. UCF has become Defensive Back U. for the NFL.

I hope you're right. I really wish the best for him, as I do for all UCF players. However, realistically, I know there are lots of really good and really fast college DBs.

I hope I am wrong, but I feel it is more likely that he will be an un-drafted free agent. We will see.

Frost said he'll be "playing on Sunday next year." He's a bigger version of Assante. He did have an off game early in the year. We'll know a lot more after tomorrow's game, if they even decide to throw his way (Tulsa spreads it around).
