Will Glock ever produce a single stack .40 or 9mm??? It would be their all-time best seller if they would.

And Glock will soon release a single stack 9mm since S&W is destroying them in the compact carry market with their M&P Shield single stack 9mm. I have one and it's without question the best carry pistol I could ask for. The frame and grip are ultra thin and concealing is really easy.
However, the Glock single stack .380 was a disaster. They might be thinking twice now.

Do you even get to walk the floor? I assume you mostly just work your booth. Anything you hope to see? I havent really seen that much excitement about this years show. I think its because sales have really gone down the past year.
Mostly meetings at the booth but I walk the floor here and there. I'm going to a big S&W party on Tuesday night which should be good.
I like the booths and seeing new things but SHOT is really just a convenient way to meet with alot of people.
Best part of the show, by far, are the girls that some companies hire to work their booths.
PS- the AVN awards are the same week down the road....
Glock is a severely stubborn company. For whatever reason they've always refused to consider a single stack until now, and since the .380 release was really bad, they may hesitate to jump into 9mm or .40. However, like I said, they might have to considering how successful the Shield has been.
The US Army is replacing their handgun and it's rumored Glock won't even participate since they refuse to propose a pistol that has a manual safety (a requirement).
The single stack .380 (Glock 42) is a great gun. Glock just picked the wrong caliber. Should have been a .40 or 9mm. Would have been their best selling gun by now. Not sure who you work for, but if you have any influence, get those fuktards at Glock to make a single stack .40.
It's ok now but when they released it, there were TONS of problems and Glock got hammered big time for them.
I just generally hate .380. Especially when there are plenty of very concealable and good 9mm pistols on the market.

I agree with you that the shield is an excellent carry pistol but the Glock 42 has not been the best seller but it is far from disaster. I would classify the Beretta Peko as a disaster not the G42. They have been selling well since they started shipping in the first part of the year and there are still some stores that have waiting lists on them. The majority of the larger wholesalers still have them as allocated product so the demand is still there for them.
If Glock does come out with a 9 or 40 in the same size as the 42 it will be a home run in the concealed carry market. But as usual Glock does what they want to and I wouldn't bet on one being announced at SHOT.
I just got the Bodyguard not to long ago (haven't shot it, yet but plan to this weekend while I'm in the woods doing some camping). It's about the only size I like for concealed carry since it's just small enough to keep it in my back pocket and not have it protrude. I'm guessing the 9mm is quite a bit larger, i.e. large enough to protrude from my back pocket. If not, I want one.Originally posted by UCFKnight85:

The Shield is probably a smidge too big for pocket carry unless you've got bigger pockets. It's smaller than a compact but bigger than a sub-compact. However, it fits inside my belt at the 2 position perfectly with a Remora holster.Originally posted by fabknight:

I used to have a Kimber Solo CDP subcompact in 9mm but hated it. It fit my pocket great but it was an unreliable POS.
Interesting. I'll have to check it out next time I'm at the gun store and at least try it on for size. I have a couple holsters for my XD9 but it's a double stack and sticks out like a sore thumb so I only wear it when I'm not going anywhere to populated. I'm not a holster kind of guy anyway, to me they are just more crap to carry around and have to situate in/on the belt. Then you might love Remora holsters. There are no straps and you dont' need to get it onto your belt. They use a proprietary "sticky" material that you simply put inside your belt and it stays in place. That's what I thought. Will try to stop by and yell out 85. I will be at the EOTech/Insight booth as well as others.
Looks like Magpul is really going after the AK market now. Very interested to see how this new stuff does in some torture testing.

UTM has been doing that for like 20 years. Not overly successfully though.
The'yre a UK company yet I have most every major customer over there.

Im very interested in all the new magpul products. I really like the look of the new AK furniture as well as the new glock mags. cant wait for users to start torture testing them to see how they hold up to see if I should buy.

Nope, skipped the range and landed yesterday.
Honestly, I typically will only find 2-3 interesting things at these shows. It's alot of the same old stuff.
Question: why worry about torture testing commercial products? If your weapon is for home defense and/or perrsonal carry, odds are that you'll never have to worry about having it fully submereged, mud in the action, sand in the action, and having to put hundreds of rounds through it.
For instance, the HK 416 is an AWESOME rifle. Torture tested to the max and the rifle of choice amongst specialists worldwide. Yet I laugh when they're showing the torture test video to the general public. There's a dude pulling his rifle from out of the mud and putting a mag in, which is something 0% of the people watching will ever havce to do.
Im very interested in a cheaper glock mag alternative. So that part is promising.
Partially because its entertainment. The other part is that while I will never put my guns through those same actions, I would like to think that if I ever had to use it, I have confidence that it will go bang.

Yes, the women in small amounts of clothing caught my eye. Also the Vivid girls who visited from the AVN convention.
Beyond that, not really. I see the same booths at every show I attend both here and abroad.
I did like the S&W MP Core series pistol.
The highlight of my trip was getting to peek inside Gaston Glock's private plane when we landed and parked next to it. It was absolutely amazing.

lol. Dude it's well established that SHOT Show is full of amazing girls working booths in little clothing. This is not a secret.
And the AVN awards were at the Hard Rock so the porn girls mingled at SHOT for a while.
