I forget which TV announcer mentioned this during a recent interview but he said he doesn't mention where players transferred in from because it doesn't matter. Plus, as he noted, some players have already played at 2 or even 3 different schools (like UCF's Omar Payne).
Announcer wanted to not take away the spotlight of a said current team's player and/or how mentioning a former team could give the wrong impression that the player was better than he was.
I forget the color guy who did UCF's 2 games (I really did like how he would RIP on the refs over the stupid endless and LONG video replays in favor of moving the game along), but he would always mention who transferred in from somewhere else...which actually has no impact on the game.
If announcers would mention EVERY player that transferred in...that would easily be a majority of players on the court (4 of UCF's 5 starters were transfers along with most of their rotation players).
Anyway, I thought it was refreshing to hear one guy say "NO MAS!"
