Pro made the above suggestion in a post from yesterday. I am in the process of cleaning some things up, message board wise. The Ireland board should have been deleted long ago, but I went ahead and moved those posts to the Dungeon (although I doubt people will want to go back and read posts about Ireland trip planning). The Hoops Board seems to have lost its luster, as the third page had posts from 2011. I moved all those posts to the Fan Forum. The boards themselves will be removed in a day or two.
In the old Rivals software when posts disappeared after four pages, it may have made sense to have multiple boards for different sports. Not so much for UCF as traffic has always been concentrated in the Dungeon, Water Cooler and Open Board, but if you look at Warchant they have different premium boards for football, recruiting, basketball, baseball, etc.
For this site, I don't really see an immediate need for anything beyond Dungeon (obviously), Water Cooler and Fan Forum, but would add another board if folks wanted it just to see how it fared. For local teams, I know the Magic have their own sites (Real GM is the biggest, right?) and I can't seem to find any active message board for Orlando City beyond Reddit and Facebook, if those even count as boards. OCS threads have always been fairly active here.
I guess it could encompass all non-UCF sports as well.
Ideas/thoughts?
