My Canadian colleagues have been talking about this recent development.

O'Toole wants an investigation of Winnipeg virus lab's ties to China

Two scientists were fired after shipping samples of highly contagious pathogens to Wuhan

And more conservative outlets ...

Internal emails show Wuhan authorities contacted Chinese scientists with security clearance at the Winnipeg lab for samples of Ebola and Henipavirus.
“It’s easier to obtain material from us as opposed to U.S. labs,” wrote one executive.

This entire thing stinks that the government isn't willing to give answers on how the lab created virus got created and funded. How was it released? Why did China allow international flights while a complete lockdown in wuhan.
This isn't hitting the US Media. That's why my colleagues pointed it out.

Was Fauci involved directly or indirectly with gain of function research in China?
Here's the thing ...

I'm sure Dr. Fauci was involved. But I'm not upset with him over it, except when he tried to 'redefine' what 'Gain of Function' was. Dr. Rand Paul called him out on that, like he should have.

'Gain of Function' was controversial, but debated on merits. What was considered possibly wrong was the Wuhan lab in China doing it when the US CDC itself considered their facilities inadequate back in in 2017-2018, and the US support of it.

I'm sure Dr. Fauci is regretting his involvement at this point. But I wasn't upset with him over it ... until he tried to redefine it. That was just stupid. It only caused massive attention to be directed towards him.

The US Media getting upset with Dr. Paul over it backfired.
