SBNation's own MWC blog has weighed in on the continuing debate in the CFP era ...

It's a very objective article, pointing out where the AAC has failed -- e.g., our overall bowl record is less, because we seem to punt bowl games, after dominating the regular season (against the rest of the G5). The American also has some regular bottom dwellers (e.g., Tulane), so a slight 'Bottom 10' affinity.
But we dominate them elsewhere, and it's not even close in many cases. I'd like to see the v. G5 record too.
ADDED NOTE: BTW, for those that think 1/3rd Ws against P5 is not that good, check out the Big XII and PAC-12 records against the rest of the P5 as well. You'll find they aren't breaking 40% lately.
