Just caught the story about the "Thank-a-Thon" in the GKC Newsletter.

I often work in DataCenters with poor cell reception, or I'm not allowed to carry a phone at all. So I was left a nice VM from one of our Student-Athletes (Volleyball) a few weeks back.

As much as I liked the gesture, and I want to say I got a call many years back as well, I also know how it is to be a college student alone. I can only imagine how much more time is precious for a student-athlete, even if during the summer months and especially so for some sports, as well as various majors.

So ... as much as I think the practice should continue, I'm curious if the GKC and UCFAA has a "No Need to Thank" list.

It's not that I mind, far from it, but I don't want a student-athlete taking the time to thank me. There are many other, worthwhile boosters, plus I feel it a duty to support my Alma Mater's Athletics (and my College, Engineering), as long as I'm gainfully employed and/or otherwise able to do so.

Anyone else get a call and feel like such a list might be a good idea? Or does one already exist?
