I know this isn't going to matter, but since I'm going to be doing a "Thanksgiving tailgate" I'll be at the field when the boys show up for the game.
The wife and I were wondering if there was anything we could to do when we got there. We decided on making a sign and making sure the boys would see it when they got off the bus.
I know it's not going to inspire them at all, but something in me still can't sit idly by as they drag our school's football reputation through the mud.
The sign is going to say:
"Please don't give up.Charge On until the end today! Go Knights!"
Pointless? Should we just save the money we'd spend on poster board and markers?
The cynic in me wants to write something nasty, but I want to be the better person here. At a minimum, for the few guys who do care like Niles, Pittman, Cedric, Holman, and some others. They might all play like crap and we could suffer the worst home loss in school history (again), but I want those guys to know not everything they did these last few years was in vain.
Maybe, for me, this is the first step in the healing process. I don't know.![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
