I have been following UCF football since 1985. Even when I lived out of state I use to look for scores or any other information about UCF; for younger people there was no WWW to search, it was hard to find this stuff back then. My father use to send me articles which I would get a week later. I only say this because this is the WORST UCF team I can remember! Yes even worst then Coach Kruz's final team and GOLs first team because at least then we still had some home that things would get better. Now we are in this awful limbo state of not knowing what is going to happen.

GOL has done some good things for this program, although I am not convinced that with the sort of budget he was given that any decent coach would not have accomplished at least what he did if not more. To say that GOL is why we have Bright House Stadium is extremely flawed there were many contributed reasons and GOL helped but it probably would have happened with any coach. To say that GOL got us a BCS win well sort of, there was a lot of other contributing factors such as our players and our schedule (which was favorable that year). To say GOL has increased the graduation rate, OK but that is not what we hire a head coach for; hire a great coach and then hire an Academic Adviser for the players and we would have better results. With all of that it has still been a roller coaster ride with GOL up and down and up and down.

Some people on here want to give GOL all the credit for our successes when there were lots of people involved especially the players but want to blame all of our losses on everybody else including the players sorry you can't have it both ways.

OK RANT OVER!
